KiWi Productions, established in 2001 by Creative Producer Kim Whitener, is dedicated to new artistic visions in the contemporary opera- and music-theatre, and other multi-genre landscapes.
Our goal is to further work that grapples with the issues of our time through compelling visual, aural, and emotional language.
Services
KiWi provides producing services to both individual artists and artistic companies, ranging from development and production of new work, touring representation and production, creation of national and international collaborations, project management, and fundraising support.
Past Work
KiWi’s past work includes projects with The Builders Association (Alladeen, Super Vision, and Continuous City), Toni Dove (Spectropia, Lucid Possession), Big Dance Theater, Martha Clarke, Richard Foreman’s Ontological-Hysteric Theater, 33 Fainting Spells, Double Edge Theatre and The Actor’s Gang, among others. KiWi was consulting producer on Logic of the Birds, artist Shirin Neshat’s live performance featuring singer Sussan Deyhim (Lincoln Center Festival, Walker Art Center, Artangel London). KiWi also was the co-producer of Zero Church, a multi-artist concert/performance event by Suzzy and Maggie Roche, at St. Ann’s Warehouse in April 2002.
